SECOLO System Components
Identification Means: contactless smart RFID cards or tags are used instead of a PIN code or in combination with a PIN code as a "key" to unlock the security container. The chip cards (key rings) have a globally unique number and every one of them is therefore unique. They work without contact, what makes them completely insensitive to external influences such as dirt, moisture or even static electricity.
Communication: for the communication between the PC and the security containers, we provide two products. The Access Point AP500 with its USB interface is a true plug and play solution. Plug it in, start the software and immediately communicate with the containers. The ideal solution for smaller systems, or on the go. The Access Point AP1000, with its ethernet interface, can, however, be integrated into the local area network. For larger systems, multiple Access Point AP1000 devices can be used in different places to guarantee that the radio communication is available over a wide area.
Mobile Data Transmission: in order to be able to exchange data between the PC and the containers even when the containers are not in the radio communication area, we offer the Handheld WA1000 device. This is the well-known device PSION Workabout from Teklogix, with an integrated SECOLO radio communication module for data exchange with the containers.The Handheld WA1000 communicates with the SECOLO Management Center over the WLAN interface.
Localization: the localization is realized by detecting an LF field (Low-Frequency field) generated by a marker. The range of the LF field can be continuously variable adjusted on the marker. The Marker-2125 features an integrated coil and achieves a range of up to 250cm. An external coil can be connected to the Marker-3125 in order to meet range and area application specific requirements. The range of the marker field can be measured using a Battery Backup BB1000 device with an integrated LF field meter module.
