The SECOLO Material & Toolbox is the solution to this problem. The intelligent electronic container lock, Security Lock SL1001, enhances the access control, alerts when needed, records the box's usage and increases the convenience for the user.
Increased access protection!
To unlock the SECOLO material & tool box, one needs
- a PIN code
- a contactless smart card
- a contactless smart card and PIN code
depending on the desired configuration.
Therewith, the content of the container is accessible only to those persons that have access permissions through a smart card or a PIN code. Unlike with mechanical keys, permissions can be removed easily and quickly, or reassigned.
Container always locked!
The monitoring of the lid-open time and the reporting of an alarm when the defined time is exceeded, ensure that the container lid will be closed. If the lid is being closed, the electronic lock automatically locks itself. Thus, the container remains always locked, while ensuring a simplified and comfortable handling!

Where are the containers?
The built-in localization technology allows the detection of a SECOLO Material & Toolbox, while moving through a defined area (e.g. storage door). With appropriate equipment in such a detection zone, the direction of the movement can be detected, and thus determined whether the container is being taken away or it is being returned.
Better care among employees!
The lock's built-in memory records all transactions, such as identifications, unlocking, lid opening, lid open alarms, etc. with date and time. Therefore, it is possible to trace who, when and how long opened the container. This enables not only the review after an incident, but also dramatically enhances the care among employees.
Protected against unauthorized removal!
In an extended version of SECOLO Material & Toolbox, the container is equipped with a quick-arresting system. This allows the mechanical fixation of the box in the warehouse, in the car or on the construction site. Only the persons which have access rights for the container can remove it from the arresting system. Thus, they are also recorded.
This quick-arresting system protects against
- unauthorized removal from the warehouse
- theft from the car (especially when unloading)
- theft at the construction site
